Just look at how Binding of Isaac was done and its perfect example of how to do sequel.
First of all they took all features from base game AND expansion and put it in the BoI 2. So no Heroes bullshit when You buy the same base game and same expansions each time.
Then they added a lot of new stuff so I don't think anyone would fill ripped of their money. That's what I call fair play.
Second: they did not make it 3D first personal real phisics etc. It was the same game but bigger and with better UI. People played the game becouse they liked it and there is not good idea to fix what is not broken.
And last thing: there must be a good reason to make sequel. In BoI it was to give developers chance to make bigger and more interesting rooms and to fix some problems with gameplay. What would give Pit 2 that can not be done in 1?
Best regards

What could be in Pit 2 that isn't in one?
More, lots more, there's been several post by the devs remarking that by mindgames the Pit was already Brimming with content, overstuffed if you will to our delight. we've had 5 DLC Characters since then
the Pit 2 allows refinement and expansion, something everyone would appreciate no? I'm game

So, BoI 2 is basically just a stand-alone expansion for BoI 1?
If I understand correctly, one of the reasons to make a sequel is to try things differently, often because the expansions of the first game hit the limitations of the game engine...

Well, the link from Steam Community is broken ?
Steam Community :
http://www.kerberos-productions.com/for ... 56&t=53707
Here :
posting.php?mode=reply&f=56&t=53707
----
IMHO Diablo-like is better, what's the point of making basically the same game ?
(Also a different kind of gameplay hopefully lessens the issue of accusations about the new game being not as fully featured at release ?)
Maybe with pause though, so more like Baldur's Gate ? (Since The Pit : Infinity kind of already did the "full real-time"...)
(Then go back to full turn-based, or something yet different for an hypothetical The Pit 3 ?)
