Can't create profile (Android/PC)

Hi

When I try to enter a profile name on my Sony Xperia Z tablet, it opens a small dialogue box where I am able to actually enter the name, but pressing enter just creates a space instead of accepting my entry. I can't press ok or any other button while the box is open and going back naturally just cancels the entry. I can't play the game, as sad as I am to report this.

While I'm at it: Trying the demo on my PC (Windows 7 64), I don't even get that far. I start the game and it first asks me to create a profile, but I can't click on create profile. Nothing happens. The game doesn't actually crash - the music's still there and I can just click the X to close the window without any delays - but I can't click that button.

Does anyone know a solution to either problem?

odd, i haven't heard of this happening on android.
What version of android is your device running?


I will look into any reasons GP would not let a player into the profile creation screen. You could try deleting any profiles you have already on the PC, but this shouldn't be an issue.

This sounds like the fullscreen vs. windowed issue that's been previously reported and given a workaround. Hope that helps.

Version 4.4.2, which apparently isn't the latest version, but my tablet refuses to update.

Forgot to say: I don't have any profiles to delete - it's the first time(s) I started the game.

Edit: I've tried it on my phone now, which is also a Sony Xperia, but the Android version it's running is 4.4.4. Enter still doesn't work, sadly.

I have the same problem on my Nexus 5 phone. I can't enter a profile name, so I can't play the game. I bought all the dlc too

Update: I tried uninstalling and redownloading the game over Google Play. No luck :[

What version of android are you using?

Also, how did you access the store to purchase all of the dlc?
The option to enter the store should not be accessible unless you have your profile created.

I was able to press "back" to close the profile creation window, my system "back", not an in game button. After that I could access everything, except when went to start the tutorial I had no decks available to use in it, so I got stuck there.

I have the latest Android version since it is a Google Nexus 5 phone from T Mobile. It is stock Android afaik and always get updates as soon as they are out.

I'm also having this problem with an android tablet I recently got. It is a Nexus 9 running the latest version of Android (5.0.1). I'm unable to proceed past naming my profile; pressing back removes the keyboard but none of the buttons aside from "Enter Profile Name" are clickable.

Seems the issue is with android's default keyboard. Using Swiftkey allows me to continue. I however think this should;d be fixed.
